Bali\u2019s world-famous soothsayer, Jro I Ketut Liyer, has died at age 100 at the Surya Usada Hospital<\/em>on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 10:45 pm after a long illness.<\/p>\n

Made famous in Edith Gilbert\u2019s best selling the book Eat, Pray Love<\/em> and the 2010 film by the same name, those of us who remember Ketut Liyer before encountering him on the pages of Gilbert\u2019s book, recall an amiable and welcoming elderly gentleman who “held court” reading personal auras and forecasting the future for a steady stream of locals and foreigners who passed through traditional Balinese compound each day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
