In connection with Karya Ida Bathara Turun Kabeh ceremonies underway at Bali’s sacred Mother Temple of Pura Besekih, trekkers and mountaineers are forbidden to climb Mount Agung until April 28, 2015 in order to preserve the purity and sanctity of the religious rites.
